I went to the Douglas home to follow up on the lead from Jeff, but someone set me up by calling the cops. With as many friends as I have around here, the possibilities are endless on who did it....

I used my one phone call to contact Rachel Douglas, who hired me onto this case. I explained to her the ordeal and that I believe the evidence Jeff led me to has given us a new lead in finding her son. With a bit more sweet-talking, I got her to get me cleared of charges.

Jeff hid letter from April in a bookcase at their home. He said he hid it from Rachel so she would not get upset and had intended on using it as evidence of harassment if problems ensued again.

April had been stalking and harassing Jeff and his family prior to being put up in the hospital. Jeff and Rachel became so paranoid that they decided to move.

April's doctor, Dr. Simmons, admitted to me that he still believed April needed more treatment. "She is still unstable". However, the hospital pushed to have her released so to make room for more patients.

Simmons said that her poetry was something they encouraged, to vent through her emotional state.

I included 3 samples of April's poems here in the case file: Dec 07, Feb 08 and July 08

Gave me an address where April had been staying.

The Landlord of April's apartment complex, which Dr. Simmons had given me the address to, advised me that April had left town. I tracked her to the small motel through a stolen vehicle, which was deserted there.

The Attendant of the motel confessed that she had stayed there a few nights and that a male companion had come to visit her at least once or twice...

Alaskan officials backed me up at the scene. Williams and Simmons were both taken into custody.

Meanwhile, Jeff and Rachel Douglas were notified that their son had been found, after a 6 month search. Jeff was released from jail and cleared of charges, once Williams and Simmons were processed.

Case closed.
